Dr. Anna Colquitt, Esq. is the Director of Education Policy at the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities, where she leads statewide research and analysis at the intersection of law, education, and workforce development. She holds a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Nevada Law Journal, was the sole student member of the Curriculum Committee, and earned Highest Pro Bono Honors. She also holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her doctoral research focused on academic standards, education's role in workforce readiness, and elevating student voice in education policy.
Dr. Colquitt has published research and presented on a range of topics, including soft skill development in Career and Technical Education, school funding models in Nevada, and early childhood governance systems. She has taught civic engagement courses in the UNLV College of Education where she was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award and brings experience across legal, instructional, and policy roles. She remains active in Nevada’s nonprofit sector through ongoing service and leadership in organizations that support youth and education.
