Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities

The Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities is a nonprofit, nonpartisan policy center addressing key challenges faced by policymakers in Nevada. We are affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno, with researchers and collaborative partnerships at NSHE institutions across the state. Founded in 2014 by a group of Nevadans who sought to advance new policy choices based on sound research, sensible and pragmatic thinking, and bold ideas, the Center is named for the late-Governor Kenny Guinn. Our research is financially supported through grants, contracts, and generous contributions from our donors.

About This Event

The 2026 Guinn Center Policy Priorities Forums in Reno and Las Vegas bring together community leaders, policymakers, and partners for interactive discussions on Nevada’s most pressing policy issues.

These events will highlight the Guinn Center’s latest nonpartisan research across key topic areas, while inviting attendees to share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping the state’s future. Through a guided, real-time survey, participants will help identify the policy priorities that matter most in 2026. Insights gathered during the forum will directly inform the Guinn Center’s future research, ensuring our work remains responsive, data-driven, and grounded in the needs of Nevada communities.
