Paul Johnson has served as the Chief Financial Officer for the White Pine County School District since March 1997 and has had the privilege of serving on a number of Nevada fiscal panels and funding studies to evaluate public education funding with respect to the Nevada Plan and the new Pupil-Centered Funding Plan (PCFP).
He currently serves as a member of the Commission on School Funding and serves on the Committee on Local Government Finance (CLGF). Mr. Johnson graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from UNLV and later earned his M.S. in Management and Leadership (MSML) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
His connection to Governor Kenny Guinn started on the Governor’s campaign trail. Governor Guinn appointed Mr. Johnson to the White Pine County Commission in September 2002 to fill a vacancy where he served as the Vice Chair and Chairman and was involved in several advisory committees. He remains actively involved in civic organizations, local government affairs, economic development and youth athletics.
