Lisa Becker is a fifth generation Nevadan, born and raised in Elko. She is the founder of ElleBee, a communications and public relations consulting company primarily supporting the mining industry and local businesses. Prior to starting her business, Lisa spent more than 15 years leading community relations and communications for Newmont in Nevada and Colorado. She is committed to fostering meaningful relationships with rural communities, clear and transparent communication, responsible corporate philanthropy, and making sure rural Nevada has a voice that resonates across the state.
Since returning to Elko in 2007, Lisa has been active with several community non-profit organizations including Great Basin College Foundation, McCaw School of Mines Foundation, Elko Area Chamber of Commerce, Creative West, and Nevada Classical Academy Elko. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Hillsdale College and a master’s degree in Communications and Leadership from Gonzaga University.
