Happy Nevada Day (Eve)!
At the Guinn Center, we believe progress happens when Nevadans work side by side — to share ideas, identify solutions, and strengthen the state we all call home.
This month, we’re launching two initiatives (and one new report) that reflect that commitment: listening to your priorities, investing in our shared mission, and delivering research that informs Nevada’s future.
First, we’re launching our 2026 Policy Priorities Survey — because it all starts with listening. This brief survey asks which issues matter most in the year ahead, like education, health, housing, workforce development, and good governance, and what issues we might be missing. Your input ensures our nonpartisan research agenda reflects Nevada’s most pressing priorities. Take the Survey

Next Monday, we’ll launch our November Giving Campaign — an opportunity to come together around our mission to improve Nevadans’ lives by shaping Nevada’s laws through data-driven policy solutions. A generous donor has given $25,000 to support our work and is challenging all of us to match their gift, dollar for dollar, before November 30. Whether you give $25 or $2,500, or commit to a monthly gift, your support ensures our research continues to promote informed decisions across the state. Stay tuned for more next week.

Finally, we’re releasing our latest report, The Legislatively Approved Budget for the State of Nevada, 2025–2027 Biennium — the first Guinn Center budget analysis that includes insights on federal impacts, such as changes enacted by H.R. 1. Join our First Look Webinar on Wednesday, November 5, at 10 a.m. for a brief presentation and Q&A. Register for the webinar
Thank you for engaging with our work — by sharing your perspectives, supporting our mission, and using facts to guide Nevada’s future.

Coming Soon: AI & K-12 Education
The Guinn Center’s upcoming report, Artificial Intelligence in K-12 Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Policy Implications, examines how AI is already transforming classrooms — changing how teachers work, how students learn, and how schools operate. Drawing on guidance from the U.S. Department of Education and national frameworks, the report outlines strategies for responsible innovation, including statewide AI policies and privacy protections. The central question is not whether AI will enter schools, but how it can be guided to serve educational goals rather than disrupt them. Coming November 2025.
Thank You!
We cannot fulfill our mission—to advance evidence-based policy solutions for Nevada through research, public engagement, and partnerships—without you.
