First Look: The Guinn Center's Report on Nevada's Budget
Guinn Center Team

This First Look Webinar features Mark Krmpotic, Interim Director of Economic and Fiscal Policy, as he presents key findings from the new Guinn Center report, The Legislatively Approved Budget for the State of Nevada, 2025–2027 Biennium.
This session provides a concise overview of Nevada’s $56.7 billion budget, examining revenue and expenditure trends, the establishment of the Nevada Health Authority, and how these elements align with the state’s fiscal priorities for the biennium.
This is the first Guinn Center budget analysis that includes insights on federal impacts, such as changes enacted by H.R. 1 (“One Big Beautiful Act”), which introduces new state matching requirements for SNAP and Medicaid. We examined how these federal changes intersect with Nevada’s budget structure and what questions policymakers may consider in response.
